References provided must be in full color, not obstructed by watermarks or filters, and up-to-date. i will not accept references pieced together by multiple images, "frankensteined" image boards describing one design, unfinished refs, and outdated references.

You are expected to submit references that are up-to-date and meet the criteria above; any errors made due to an incorrect ref will not be corrected by The Artist during or after the commission without a fee.

separate "complete" references may be acceptable (such as a main reference along with an alternative outfit reference or supplemental material) depending on the request. but requests that require more than 4 images may be declined.

explicit gore / guts / self-harm / graphic violence

depictions of drug use or their effects

explicit nudity / nsfw / fetish and disguised fetish

shota / loli / cub or underaged characters in provocative clothing or inappropriate situations

real life military gear and heavy weaponry

political satire / hateful rhetoric / hate material (such as, but not limited to; homophobia, transphobia, fascist symbolism, nazi symbolism, racism, etc.)

do not send any payments until your order has been confirmed and approved by the artist

holds are not available, forms must be sent within 48hrs of claiming a slot

all payments must be sent within 24hrs of being claimed or your slot will be forfeit to another user

proxy claims are allowed however i must be informed as to who the individual is prior to accepting

All payment plans require a 30%, non-refundable deposit before I start. Progress will not continue past the sketch phase unless a 2nd payment has been deposited or the commission has been paid in full

Timeframe will be discussed beforehand between The Artist and The Client. The commission must be paid in full within the timeframe of the commission's turnaround time

Amount per deposit must be discussed beforehand and may not be sent unless The Artist has given permission to send. Sending unspecified amounts without warning may result in your commission being cancelled

If work in progress submissions are accepted, you are expected to provide clear feedback before allowing me to advance progress on your commission. Work will be halted until I have received your feedback or permission to proceed. Errors made due to miscommunication from the client may not be rectified without a fee.

Errors made by the artist, and not due to a lack of communication from the client or outdated ref, may be rectified for free as long as the alterations requested falls within the original design of the request and is not adding new elements not outlined in the provided references or original request.

Please look over work in progress images sent carefully and ask for all desired changes within the same message before giving me permission to proceed; frequent change requests may result in additional payment being requested or your commission being cancelled with a partial refund.

All character designs and illustrations by cressida come as personal-use only non-commercial materials. I, The Artist, claim all of my work as my Intellectual Property and do not give permission for any of my works to be copied, sold, redistributed, edited / altered, blatantly referenced, or used without my written consent.

All work and material made by cressida may not be used in any blockchain-related technology, to include NFTs, cryptocurrency, or future inventions in the space.

My work may not be used in any AI related technology or future inventions in that space.

I reserve the right to decline any work if I find it outside of my ability to complete to the highest standard.

I retain copyright to the artwork unless discussed otherwise and a license of copyright is transferred.

I reserve the right to use, publish, livestream and record the commissioned artwork / process to share and promote on Kofi / Discord and other social media unless an NDA is agreed upon.

If commissioned for fanart of an existing series or franchise, I reserve the right to sell the artwork at any given point, such as prints or in art books (transfer of rights not applicable to fanart).

Once an Illustration has been paid for in full, The Client may use it for personal use only. (Unless a commercial license has been formally agreed upon with The Artist.)

Proper credit is required upon each posting of my work and material via a link to one of my social medias; You may only repost if said credit is displayed accurately. Do not claim my work as your own.

you may not edit my artwork without my explicit permission beforehand for that specific piece.

You may not itemize, mint, or sell my illustrations and designs as "Non-fungible tokens" (NFT).

You may not upload, share, or put my work into an AI Generator.

you may not upload my work to pinterest or imgur.

You may not edit my artwork in anyway; if you wish to make a small alteration and you have commissioned that work from me, you must ask me for permission to do so.

You may not use my artwork for any of the following: Tattoos, Promotional Work, Video Graphics, Zine Works, Merchandise

by accepting a custom by cressida, you agree to my terms of use as well as the terms of service once your request is accepted and currency and/or goods has been transferred.

once a custom has been paid for in full, the client may use it for personal use only. (unless a commercial license has been formally agreed upon with the artist.)

certain customs come with limited free alterations (at the artist's discretion) and will be honored only during the process of the custom and not after work has been finalized and accepted by the client. (

Refunds are not available for designs; once purchased all transactions are final.

I offer refunds after the turnaround deadline has passed for specific commissions; refunds are not available to all commission types, you are responsible for checking beforehand.

Refunds are not available once the commission has been finished; you are responsible for asking for a refund during the allotted time and before the product has been finished.

Depending on the amount of work done on the commission, your refund will be deducted with a fee and your commission will remain unfinished. Once a refund is processed all work is halted entirely.

If a chargeback is issued without consulting The Artist beforehand, you will be added to the blacklist and will be refused service in the future.

Any work finished once a refund has been processed may be claimed by The Client with the permission of The Artist only. Chargebacks are exempt from this and may not use any of the work made by The Artist.

Design ownership may fall under only one person unless ownership is transferred. Multiple owners (or "co-ownership") will not be recognized and any terms of use offences by related third-parties that you have granted "co-ownership" to will fall to the recognized owner's responsibility.

Designs may be gifted, raffled, or traded; designs may only be resold for the amount spent at purchase plus value equal to commissioned artwork. Price gouging is a blacklistable offence and will result in a public PSA.

once a transfer has been made from me to you, you are expected to keep track of all files transferred. you are allowed to keep backups of files of your character and of illustrations you have purchased from me (or through an approved third party)

Designs may be transferred to another person after full payment has been sent to the artist; when transferring, you acknowledge you relinquish full ownership to the next owner. All original files must go to the new owner and may not be separated.

All illustrations by cressida come as personal-use only materials; commercial use may only be transferred with my formal consent.

You may not use any illustrations made by me for promotional material for commercial projects or for-profit works without paying a licensing fee.

You may not use the character for "for profit" commercial use including, but not limited to: merch, commercial streaming, promoting merch / for-profit projects, comics or webtoons, video games, etc.

When uploading a character design by me to Toyhou.se (TH), credit my TH account. It creates a paper trail for ownership and allows my TOS to be more accessible. You may attach other artists as "co-designer" for alt-designs made for said character, but I must remain as the creator of the design.

You may add onto the value of a design for artwork you have created yourself, however the amount added must be accurate to your own current commission prices and the price must be listed explicitly separate to the overall price so that buyers are aware of the added value.

Artwork received for free or via trade may not be added to the overall value of the character.

Design details may be altered so long as the design is still at least 50% recognizable to the original and as long as the changes are made in either your own artwork or in a commissioned piece. edits may not be made to the original reference artwork nor removed from the character, but may be hidden from view.

prior to making large scale changes to the design, you are required to refer with the artist; below is a short summary of changes that may be permitted / denied including but not limited to [cont.]

No Permission Required... minor tone shifts, scars, tattoos, hairstyles, amputation / disability aid, alternate forms, alternate outfits ...

Permission Required... over half of palette altered, large markings added / removed, "sibling designs" (designs meant to match or bear resemblance to said design) ...

Disallowed Changes... whitewashing poc-coded designs, addition of hateful / fascist symbolism (swastika, nazi uniform, etc.)

Design changes to closed species (cs) designs fall under both my and the cs group's terms of usage. (unless the design has been officially removed from the closed species and the cs terms voided)

Only cressida may make alterations to the original design artworks and / or illustrations by cressida.

A warning will be issued by The Artist to the person in question depending on said issue; if behavior continues past the warning then you will not be granted a chance to appeal and will be permanently blacklisted.
